Amman, Mar. 10 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held talks on Tuesday with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein on the implications of the escalating regional tensions and efforts aimed at restoring calm, maintaining stability, and advancing diplomatic solutions.
During a phone call, the two ministers warned that an expansion of the crisis could have serious consequences for the region and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to safeguard regional security and stability.
Safadi reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting its territory as well as several Arab countries, stressing that the Kingdom will continue to take all necessary measures to defend its citizens, protect its sovereignty and maintain its national security against any threats.
Safadi and Hussein also highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Iraq, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination and cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and advancing shared interests.
