London, March 16 (Petra) — British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Monday that the United Kingdom will not be drawn into a wider war because of the crisis with Iran, adding that his government is working with allies on a workable plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz after Iran effectively closed the waterway.
According to the BBC, Starmer said during a press briefing at Downing Street that the operation would not be a mission for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), stressing that the focus is on coordinating with international partners to ensure the safe passage of oil through the strait.
