Doha, April 10 (QNA) – The Qatari national beach volleyball team have completed its intensive preparations for the 25th Asian Tour, which will be hosted by Thailand from Sunday until April 15.
The Qatari team will participate in the Asian Tour with two squads. The first squad consists of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, while the second squad comprises Mohamed Ehab and Moussa Al Khair. This move aims to strengthen Qatar’s presence and compete strongly at the continental level.
The Qatari beach volleyball team departed Friday for Thailand, where they will enter a training camp from April 16 to 19, following their participation in the Asian Tour. This camp is in preparation for the Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, scheduled to be held from April 22 to 30.
Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari, a member of the Qatar Volleyball Association’s board of directors and head of the beach volleyball committee, stated that the national team’s participation in the Asian tour is part of the Association’s plan to develop the level of the game and enhance the players’ readiness for international competitions, which contributes to raising Qatar’s name in continental and international forums.
