Egyptian Foreign Minister, US Envoy Discuss Regional De-escalation

Cairo, June 03 (QNA) – Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, discussed efforts to reduce tensions and promote stability in the region during a phone call on Tuesday with Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy to the Middle East.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt said the two officials reviewed developments in the course of US-Iran negotiations and exchanged views on ways to advance the diplomatic process.
The discussions also focused on efforts to reach a mutually acceptable settlement that could help ease tensions between the two sides, according to the statement. (QNA)
