Jordan, Kuwait discuss expanding security cooperation, joint training

Amman, June 3 (Petra) – Interior Minister Mazen Faraya met on
Wednesday with Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, to discuss ways to
enhance security cooperation and training programmes.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Interior in Amman, Faraya
praised the advanced level of cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait
on security-related issues.

He stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation
between the Jordanian and Kuwaiti ministries of interior and their
respective security agencies on matters of mutual interest.

For his part, Sheikh Fahad said Kuwait is committed to strengthening
security relations and expanding the exchange of expertise, noting
that such efforts would create new opportunities for cooperation
between the two countries.

He commended the strong and longstanding relations between Jordan and
Kuwait across various sectors.

The meeting was attended by Director of Public Security Major General
Obaidullah Maayta and members of the delegation accompanying the
Kuwaiti interior minister.
