Doha, June 03 (QNA) – The Juvenile Police Department hosted a delegation from the Juvenile Police Unit of the Royal Oman Police as part of efforts to strengthen security cooperation and exchange expertise among security agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The delegation was received by Director of the Juvenile Police Department, Brig. Mohammed Mubarak Al Shafi.

The Omani delegation was headed by Assistant Commander of the Juvenile Police Unit Lt. Col. Khalid bin Khamis Al Siyabi. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation, exchange expertise and review best practices in juvenile protection and the prevention of behavioral delinquency, supporting preventive and awareness efforts targeting this age group.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the department’s operating mechanisms and its approved prevention and awareness programs. The program also included a field tour of the department’s sections and a presentation outlining its responsibilities and functions, as well as its educational and awareness plan for 2026. (QNA)
