Arab Innovation and Investment Forum Prepares Fifth Edition in Cairo
Cairo, June 04 (QNA) – Preparations for the fifth Arab Innovation and Investment Forum advanced on Thursday during a preparatory meeting held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, bringing together government representatives, banks, investors, entrepreneurs, and economic institutions.
The meeting reviewed implementation mechanisms for several strategic programs and initiatives, while also following up on recommendations from the forum’s fourth edition. Participants discussed recent global and regional economic developments and their impact on the Arab region, alongside emerging trends in entrepreneurship, technology, and finance.
They also explored ways to strengthen partnerships between investors and start-ups, with the aim of accelerating innovation and supporting economic growth across Arab countries.
In remarks at the meeting, Ambassador Ali bin Ibrahim Al Malki, Arab League’s Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector said that innovation and entrepreneurship have become key pillars for economic and social development, particularly in light of ongoing regional and global challenges.
He highlighted their role in improving economic efficiency, advancing sustainable development, and supporting comprehensive growth across Arab states.
The session also honored Al Malki in recognition of his contributions and the efforts of the Arab League’s Economic Affairs Sector in supporting the forum and promoting sustainable, knowledge-based investment in the region.
The forum is seen as a strategic platform aimed at empowering youth, fostering innovation, and building stronger links between entrepreneurs and decision-makers, while encouraging responsible investment and regional cooperation to address development challenges. (QNA)
