Ramallah, June 07 (QNA) – Two Palestinian children were injured by Israeli gunfire today during a raid on Balata refugee camp east of Nablus in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that one child was shot in the foot and another in the thigh with live ammunition. Israeli occupation forces also arrested a young Palestinian man from inside the camp.

The Society added that Israeli occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching a patient inside the camp to provide treatment, while dozens of residents suffered from tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli special forces entered the Balata camp, followed by several military vehicles. Israeli forces also moved into the camp’s streets, schools, and market area, firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters.

The West Bank continues to see an escalation in raids, arrests, and attacks carried out by Israeli occupation forces and settlers. This comes amid the occupation’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through airstrikes and attacks on various areas across the enclave. (QNA)
