G7 calls for Lebanon ceasefire

Amman, June 17 (Petra) – The G7 called for a ceasefire in Lebanon on
Wednesday, and welcomed a pending agreement to halt hostilities
between the US and Iran.

G7 leaders announced during a summit in Évian-les-Bains, France,
their plan to diversify energy supply routes to reduce reliance on
the Strait of Hormuz following war disruptions.

US President Donald Trump used the summit as an opportunity to
present his agreement with Iran to his G7 allies.
