Doha, June 21 (QNA) – The Qatar Society of Engineers has launched the Qatar engineering training academy.
This comes as a strategic step aimed at enhancing the professional development of national engineering talents and increasing their readiness to meet future demands.
The academy was established as part of the Qatar Society of Engineers’ vision to build an integrated system for professional training and qualification, offering high-quality programs that contribute to developing the engineering, technical, and managerial skills of male and female engineers in line with the rapid advancements across various engineering sectors, and in the service of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers, Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama said that the academy’s launch marks an important milestone in the Qatar Society of Engineers’ efforts to invest in human capital and train national talents.
The academy will serve as a specialized platform for delivering advanced professional programs aligned with labor market needs and Qatar’s development priorities, she added.
Eng. Al Naama said that the academy will put together specialized training tracks that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, helping engineers strengthen their technical, leadership, and managerial skills.
This, the Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers said, will enhance their readiness to contribute to major national projects and keep pace with the digital and technological transformation taking place within the engineering sector.
The academy’s training plan will include a range of diplomas and professional tracks in areas such as: Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D Printing, Project Management, Asset and Facility Managements, Sustainability and Green Engineering, Artificial Intelligence in engineering, and advanced technical programs related to smart systems and digital transformation.
The academy will seek to establish partnerships with academic institutions, professional organizations, and specialized training providers both locally and internationally, with the goal of delivering high-quality training programs based on global best practices and standards. (QNA)
