Obtains ISO Certificate in Quality Management System

Muscat,
16 Sep 2026 (ONA) — The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has obtained the “ISO
9001” certificate for its Quality Management System, an institutional
achievement reflecting the Authority’s commitment to implementing best
administrative practices, enhancing performance efficiency, and establishing a
culture of quality and continuous improvement.

This
step supports the development of the institutional work ecosystem and elevates
the level of services provided to workers and clients in the non-banking
financial sector, represented by the capital market, insurance, and accounting
and auditing professions.

The
certificate was received by Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of the
Financial Services Authority.

This
achievement represents the culmination of continuous efforts and integrated
institutional work in which various sectors and units of the Authority
participated through multiple stages of implementing the quality management
system. These stages included developing procedures and operations, enhancing
performance efficiency, and working to fulfill approved international
requirements and standards, culminating in obtaining the certificate.

The
Authority affirmed that receiving the ISO 9001 certificate represents an
important milestone in its journey toward institutional excellence and reflects
its keenness to adopt effective administrative methodologies that contribute to
elevating performance quality, improving operations, and boosting work
efficiency in line with its strategic goals and future aspirations.

The
Authority pointed out that this achievement resulted from cooperation and
integration among the Authority’s various sectors and units, as well as a
unified team spirit that contributed to the success of the quality management
system project and the fulfillment of its requirements. It noted that
celebrating this occasion comes in appreciation of the active efforts and
contributions made by the Authority’s employees during the phases of the
project.
