Ramallah, July 07 (QNA) – A number of Palestinians were injured today following attacks by Israeli forces and Israeli settlers in the occupied cities of Hebron and Jerusalem.
Local sources, according to WAFA news agency, said that settlers attacked several Palestinian homes in the Hawara area, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, assaulting residents and causing a number of injuries.
The sources added that Israeli forces arrested an elderly Palestinian from the Masafer Yatta area while settlers were attacking Palestinians in the region.
In a separate incident, a young Palestinian man was wounded by Israeli forces’ gunfire in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that the 24-year-old man was shot while he was near the separation barrier. He was transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
In Nablus, Israeli forces demolished a house after surrounding it for several hours, resulting in flames and thick smoke rising from the site. The operation came after Israeli forces entered the city at dawn and raided a number of homes, accompanied by a heavy deployment of military vehicles and soldiers.
These incidents come amid an ongoing escalation of raids and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers across cities, towns, and refugee camps in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The operations include home raids, incursions, confrontations, arrests, the use of live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, and tear gas against Palestinians, as well as attacks on Palestinian property.
