Arab states condemn Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, commercial vessels

Amman, July 8 (Petra) – Several Arab countries and regional
organisations on Wednesday condemned what they described as repeated
Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain, calling them a
violation of the two countries’ sovereignty and international law.

They denounced attacks on a Saudi and a Qatari commercial vessel in
the Strait of Hormuz, warning that such actions threaten maritime
security, regional stability and global trade.

In separate statements, Egypt, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Lebanon
reaffirmed their solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, rejected any
escalation that could undermine regional security and called for
restraint, dialogue and diplomatic solutions.

The Arab Parliament condemned the attacks, describing them as a
dangerous escalation and a violation of international law, while the
League of Arab States reiterated its support for Gulf states and
warned that the attacks threaten ceasefire efforts and the security
of regional maritime routes.
