Oil Falls Over 1%

London, July 09 (QNA) – Oil prices fell by over 1% Thursday amid escalating tensions and developments in the region.
Brent crude futures dropped $1.03, or 1.3%, to $76.99 per barrel.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also declined, falling 88 cents, or 1.2%, to $72.64.
Both crude oils hit their highest levels since June 22 on Wednesday, and the decline came after Brent and WTI crude rose by more than a dollar per barrel in post-settlement trading, following the US’ announcement of new strikes on targets in Iran. (QNA)
