Doha, July 09 (QNA) – The State of Qatar ranked 12th globally among the top 15 countries in the mid-2026 Quality of Life Index issued by the Numbeo Global Database, moving up six positions in the global ranking.

The Numbeo Quality of Life Index is a comprehensive measure that evaluates the factors influencing people’s daily living conditions and overall well-being. It assesses countries based on indicators including safety, purchasing power, healthcare, housing affordability, cost of living, commuting time, pollution levels, and climate.

The National Planning Council highlighted Qatar’s significant improvement in the index, noting that the country also maintained its strong regional standing by ranking second among Gulf countries.

The Council noted that Qatar’s overall score increased from 182.7 to 188.6, reflecting the country’s continued progress across key quality-of-life indicators.

It attributed this advancement to Qatar’s long-term development approach, which focuses on sustainable infrastructure, enhanced public services, improved facilities, and a strengthened healthcare system.

The Council also emphasized that maintaining high standards of safety and stability continues to support a secure and prosperous environment for individuals and businesses. (QNA)
