Riyadh, July 10 (QNA) – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) reiterated its firm position in support of the unity of Syria, safeguarding its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and rejecting any interference in its internal affairs.
GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi welcomed on Friday the announcement by the United States of America regarding the initiation of procedures to rescind the designation of Syria as a State Sponsor of Terrorism.
He expressed his hope that this step will contribute to supporting international and regional efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in Syria, hoping that this step will serve as an impetus to bolster international cooperation with Syria. (QNA)
