New York, July 10 (QNA) – Gold prices rose more than 1 percent on Thursday as investors bought the precious metal to capitalize on its recent losses after it fell to a one-week low.
Spot gold climbed 1.3 percent to $4,130.58 an ounce, after dropping to its lowest level since July 1 on Wednesday.
US gold futures for August delivery also rose 1.4 percent to $4,140.80 an ounce.
Among other precious metals, spot silver jumped 3.4 percent to $60.25 an ounce, while platinum gained 2.3 percent to $1,615.25. Palladium rose 3.3 percent to $1,253.25. (QNA)
