Doha, July 10 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. Dr. Badr Abdelatty .
The call dealt with discussing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them. It also dealt with the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.
During the call, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining security in the region, preserving the gains that have been achieved, and enhancing regional stability.
His Excellency reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for all efforts to defuse tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region. (QNA)
