Kinshasa, July 13 (QNA) – The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has reported 1,873 confirmed cases of Ebola nationwide, including 672 deaths.
Health authorities said in a report that the affected provinces are Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Uele, and Chubu. Haut-Uele and Chubu were included in the national report for the first time.
The report added that 763 patients are currently in isolation or receiving hospital treatment, with a bed occupancy rate of 95.1 percent.
The DRC declared the outbreak of its seventeenth Ebola outbreak on May 15, prompting the World Health Organization (WHO) to issue an international health alert regarding the situation. (QNA)
