AMMAN, July 26 (Petra) — The Kingdom will experience moderate summer
weather through Sunday and Monday across most regions, though hot
conditions will persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and
Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Low-altitude clouds are expected over the northern Kingdom, with
moderate northwesterly winds picking up periodically during the
evening hours.

By Tuesday, temperatures will begin a slight upward trend. While the
mountain highlands and plains will maintain comfortable summer
weather, the Badia will turn relatively hot. Scorching conditions
will continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba under
active northwesterly winds.

Heat will intensify further on Wednesday as temperatures rise across
the country, bringing relatively hot weather to most areas, high heat
to the Badia, and extreme temperatures to the Jordan Valley and
southern coastal regions.

In the capital, East Amman will see highs of 31 degrees Celsius and
lows of 19 degrees Celsius today, while West Amman cools to between
29 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius. Highs in the northern
highlands will hover around 27 degrees Celsius, while the Sharah
mountains will reach 28 degrees Celsius.

Elsewhere, daytime temperatures are forecast at 35 degrees Celsius in
the Badia, 31 degrees Celsius in the plains, and 37 degrees Celsius
in the northern Jordan Valley. Extreme heat will dominate the
southern Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba, both topping 40 degrees
Celsius, with the Dead Sea peaking at 39 degrees Celsius.
