AMMAN, July 26 (Petra) — Emergency response teams from the Zarqa
Civil Defense Directorate, backed by the Jordan International Search
and Rescue Team, extracted an individual trapped inside a deep pit at
a residential home in Zarqa Governorate on Sunday, according to a
Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson.
Specialized rescue personnel launched an immediate recovery effort
upon arriving at the scene, employing technical machinery to clear
the debris and reach the victim.
Despite the rapid response, the individual was pronounced dead upon
extraction.
The spokesperson confirmed that the body was evacuated to Zarqa
Government Hospital, while relevant authorities have initiated an
investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal
incident.
