Khartoum, 26 July 2026 (SUNA) – The General Command of the Armed Forces announced that the Sudanese Armed Forces and their supporting forces succeeded in liberating the cities of Bara, Jabrat-Al-Sheikh, and Om Siala in North Kordofan State by force and determination, following well-coordinated military operations and fierce battles in which the heroes demonstrated remarkable courage and bravery. The General Command stated that the forces inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia, while its remnants fled under the impact of the strikes, leaving behind a number of weapons and military vehicles. In a statement issued on Sunday, the General Command of the Armed Forces said: “Your Armed Forces and supporting units will continue to write epics of glory and sacrifice, renewing in every battle the pledge they have made to remain the shield of the homeland and its mighty sword in defending its territory, sovereignty, and unity.” The Armed Forces further explained in the statement that: “This new victory once again confirms that the will of our people is stronger than all conspiracies, that the determination of their Armed Forces does not waver, and that the flag of the nation will remain raised and flying high, regardless of the magnitude of the challenges and the multiplicity of conspiracies.”BH/BH
