Israel orders annexation of new land north of occupied West Bank

Ramallah, July 27 (Petra) – Israeli occupation authorities issued new
military orders on Monday to annex 498 dunams of Palestinian land
across eastern Tubas in the north of the West Bank.

The orders target land in Tubas, Tayasir, Aqabah, Ibziq, and Raba,
according to the Tubas Governorate. The land grab advances the
occupation’s “Crimson Thread” military barrier project, launched late
2025.

Data from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission revealed
that 360,172 dunams (about 72% of the targeted area) had previously
been designated by Israel as “state land.”

It followed earlier land seizures and closures across the northern
Jordan Valley in the West Bank, where the Israeli army also destroyed
farmland and water pipelines in Atouf, severely damaging the local
economy.
