Amman, July 28 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs
Ayman Safadi and Indonesia’s Foreign Minister, Sugiono, discussed
ties and cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

In a telephone call on Tuesday, Safadi and Sugiono reviewed the
disastrous consequences of Israel’s illegal measures in the occupied
West Bank and called for halting them.

Safadi warned that Israel’s continued escalation against the
Palestinian people, increasing violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and
attempts to alter the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem
and its holy sites are pushing the occupied West Bank toward an
explosion of violence and undermining all prospects for achieving a
just and lasting peace.

The two ministers discussed the situation in Gaza, calling for the
implementation of all elements of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan
to stabilise the Strip and ensure the sustained delivery of adequate
humanitarian assistance.

Safadi and Sugiono further reviewed efforts to end the regional
escalation, ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement
between the United States and Iran and reach a comprehensive
agreement that addresses the root causes of tension, guarantees
freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and contributes to
lasting security and stability.
