Amman, July 28 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs
Ayman Safadi and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar discussed the
development of the relations between Jordan and Pakistan, in line
with the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to Pakistan
on November 14, 2015.

In a phone call Tuesday, Safadi and Dar said they are committed to
strengthening cooperation and called for ensuring the success of
efforts to uphold the ceasefire agreement between the United States
and Iran and to reach a solution that guarantees freedom of
navigation in the Strait of Hormuz while addressing all sources of
regional tension.

Safadi commended Pakistan’s important role in efforts to defuse the
crisis and support a lasting solution.

The two ministers discussed the dangerous escalation in the occupied
West Bank resulting from Israel’s continued illegal measures, which
they said further entrench the occupation and seek to alter the
historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

They condemned these provocative and illegal actions and called for
coordinated regional and international efforts to confront them.

Safadi and Dar called for the implementation of all provisions of
U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan regarding Gaza.

The two ministers exchanged views on regional and international
issues of mutual interest.
