Ramallah, July 29 (Petra) – Israeli occupation authorities seized
roughly 200 dunams of land in the occupied West Bank’s Jenin
Governorate through 15 military orders, according to the Colonization
and Wall Resistance Commission on Wednesday.

The annexed land will primarily be used to construct and widen over
11 kilometers of military roads and establish a new military outpost
in the town of Al-Yamun.

While most of the targeted land falls within Area C, three orders
cover parts of Area A, a move the commission called “a violation of
the Oslo Accords intended to build infrastructure for settlement
expansion,” including connecting the Noa and Emek Dotan outposts.

In the Bethlehem area, Israeli settlers, backed by military forces,
expanded an outpost east of Beit Sahour by installing six new mobile
homes, according to the local municipality. Officials noted the
outpost occupies land previously set aside for a children’s hospital.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society also reported that Israeli
Occupation Forces detained 20 Palestinians during widespread
overnight raids across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including 10
from the Nablus Governorate.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Waqf Department stated that Israeli police
temporarily closed the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque to secure an incursion
by settlers.
