Tehran, 9 Aug 2026 (ONA) — Iranian
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Iran is not currently engaged in
any direct negotiations with the United States; rather, messages are being
exchanged through intermediaries.
He added that the intermediaries
are making efforts to create the necessary conditions for the resumption of
negotiations.
Araghchi clarified that, from
Iran’s perspective, talks cannot be restarted unless the violations of the
memorandum of understanding are addressed and brought to an end.
