Receives Delegation from Uzbekistan

Muscat,
30 Sep 2026 (ONA) — Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), received Laziz
Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of
Uzbekistan.

During
the meeting, prospects for developing economic and commercial relations between
the two countries were discussed, alongside enhancing the role of the private
sector in expanding areas of cooperation and establishing sustainable
commercial and investment partnerships.

The
meeting touched upon ways to boost commercial exchange between the Sultanate of
Oman and the Republic of Uzbekistan, expand the range of traded products, and
introduce opportunities available to companies in both countries. The two sides
also reviewed the importance of direct communication between Omani and Uzbek
companies to explore areas of joint action and study potential projects.

Al
Rawas pointed out that Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry is working to
enhance communication between the business communities in both countries by
supporting the exchange of trade delegations and organizing business forums and
bilateral meetings between Omani and Uzbek companies, contributing to the
development of trade relations and opening broader horizons for cooperation and
partnership.
