Passports Department offices in Amman to open Saturdays in August

Amman, August 13 (Petra) – Civil Status and Passports Department
(CSPD) on Thursday announced 6 of its main offices in Amman will
open on Saturdays through the end of August to manage higher
workloads and shorten wait times for Jordanians.

In its announcement, CSPD’s Director-General Ghaith Tayeb said the
temporary weekend schedule aims to “streamline operations and enhance
service delivery.” Starting Saturday, Aug. 15, designated locations
will open every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The adjusted hours apply specifically to the CSPD’s main headquarters
in Amman’s Tabarbour area. Branch offices in the capital’s
Ashrafiyeh, Wadi Al-Seer, Tla’ Al-Ali, and Hay Nazzal will also
operate during these weekend hours.

Tayeb stated that the department remains focused on upgrading its
operations and improving “overall efficiency to meet public demand
efficiently.”
