Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) – Jordan Investors Association (JIA) commended
the national and regulatory role of Jordan Food and Drug
Administration (JFDA) and its ongoing efforts to protect the
citizens’ health and safety and ensure quality and validity of food
products.

The association also praised the JFDA’s support for Jordan’s
industrial facilities to comply with approved health and technical
requirements.

In a statement issued Saturday, JIA Chairman Mujahid Rajabi said
the JFDA’s monitoring and inspection campaigns are a “cornerstone” of
consumer protection, which maintain reputation and quality of
Jordanian food industries, and enhance their competitiveness in local
and international markets.

He lauded professionalism of JFDA staff and their continuous
cooperation with the industrial sector.

Rajabi also called for launching a JFDA office at the JIA’s
headquarters in King Abdullah II Industrial City in Amman’s Sahab
district.

On its siginifcance, he said this step would provide direct services
to factories operating in Sahab and Muwaqqar estates, streamline
procedures, expedite transactions, and save industrialists time,
effort, and costs by eliminating the need to visit the JFDA’s main
building.

Aimed to complete e-connecitivity with JFDA, he announced the
association is currently working in cooperation and coordination for
this purpose, which would develop services provided to investors,
simplify procedures, and expedite information exchange and
transaction tracking “more efficiently and adequately.”

Rajabi noted that the association supports the JFDA’s efforts and its
monitoring and awareness campaigns, based on its belief that
effective oversight contributes to protecting compliant
establishments, raising quality of national products, and enhancing
consumer confidence in Jordanian industry.

Rajabi expressed the association’s appreciation for the JFDA’s
management and its technical and regulatory staff, stressing its
keenness to continue joint cooperation and expand partnership.

In this context, he said this vision would serve industrialists in
Sahab and Muwaqqar cities, improve services provided to this group
and support “competitiveness” of the Jordanian industrial sector and
sustainability of its growth.
