Muscat, 14 September 2026 (ONA) — Represented
by Oman Handball Association, the Sultanate of Oman will host the third stage
of the 2026 Beach Handball Global Tour (5th edition) on 4 and 5 December 2026.
The tour, scheduled to take place on
the sand courts at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, will see the
participation of world champions who will compete in men’s and women’s events.
Four teams will compete in the men’s
events: Oman (the host), Germany (the world champion), Croatia (winner of the first
stage in Zagreb) and Poland (runner-up of the Płock stage). The women’s
category will feature Argentina (world champion), Portugal (winner of the first
stage in Zagreb) and Germany (winner of the Płock stage), in addition to a
fourth team to be announced later. Participating teams are scheduled to arrive
in Muscat on 3 December 2026.
The event is part of an ongoing partnership

It will be second time that Oman hosts the tournament, following its hosting of the 2012
edition in Al Musanaa Sports City. It will also reaffirm Oman’s readiness
