Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) — The Northern Military Zone thwarted an
infiltration attempt late Tuesday after border guard forces spotted a
person trying to illegally cross the border through one of the border
points.
Border guard forces dealt with the infiltrator according to standing
engagement rules, arrested him, and referred him to the competent
authorities for the necessary legal action.
The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) affirmed that border guard
forces continue to carry out their duties with vigilance and resolve,
as part of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom’s borders,
preserve its sovereignty, and confront any infiltration attempts or
illegal activities that could threaten national security and
stability.
