Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) — Jordan on Wednesday condemned an attempt
by the Houthi militia to target Makkah with a drone, calling it a
blatant violation of the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia, a threat to its
security, stability, and territorial integrity, and a flagrant breach
of international law.
In a statement, Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs
spokesperson Fuad Majali described the attack as an unacceptable act
that shows disregard for Makkah’s status and sanctity and offends the
sentiments of Muslims.
Majali affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and
its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its
security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
