“Partners in
Achievement” Forum Highlights OCCI Efforts to Support the Private Sector

Muscat, 20 Sep 2026 (ONA) — Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (OCCI) today organized the “Partners in Achievement” Forum
to celebrate what has been accomplished over the past four years in enhancing
the role of the private sector in the economic development process.

During the ceremony, the design of the Chamber’s new building
was unveiled, to be located in Madinat Al Irfan “Al Irfan City” in Muscat
Governorate.

Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, OCCI Chairman explained that what was
achieved during the Board’s term (2022–2026) reflects an institutional
evolution in the Chamber’s roles and an integrated endeavour to enhance the
competitiveness of the private sector, expand opportunities before it, and
enable it to perform its role as a key partner in economic development.

He stated that the Chamber succeeded in enhancing its financial
sustainability by growing its investment portfolio, which increased by 45 per
cent to reach RO 67.1 million by the end of 2025, compared with RO 46.4 million
by the end of 2022 — a rise of approximately RO 20.7 million. He noted that the
tangible growth of the investment portfolio strengthens the Chamber’s financial
solvency and supports its capacity to continue implementing its qualitative
initiatives and programmes in service of the private sector.

He stated that the unveiling of the design for the Chamber’s new
headquarters reflects the evolution of its roles and the expansion of its
services. It will provide a modern, integrated working environment that
strengthens its capacity to serve the private sector and to host trade
delegations and economic events. He noted that the project occupies a strategic
location in Madinat Al Irfan in Muscat Governorate, within an integrated urban
environment encompassing business districts and vital facilities. The new
building will feature smart workspaces and state-of-the-art conference and
event halls, and its design targets the international LEED and WELL
certifications in sustainability, indoor environmental quality, and user
well-being.

During the forum, heads and members of the sectoral committees
at the Chamber’s headquarters were felicitated, in appreciation of their
efforts and contributions in addressing various economic sectors, presenting
views and proposals supporting the development of the business environment,
enhancing communication and partnership between the private sector and relevant
entities, and contributing to the formulation of initiatives and solutions that
serve the private sector.
