Occupied Jerusalem, September 29 (QNA) – The rising Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque during Jewish holidays pose a peril and are intended to turn limited actions into a fait accompli protected by the Israeli occupation police, Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri warned on Tuesday. 
He stressed that these incursions point to a far more worrisome development in the nature of the attacks on the mosque, as public rituals there continue to expand.
Sabri further warned that the real danger doesn’t lie merely in the scene of the incursion, but in what lies beyond it, saying that every new ritual that is allowed, every step that is allowed to go forward, and every Israeli official who storms the mosque and performs his rituals there are intended, over time, to turn exceptions into a fait accompli.
The preacher underlined that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety and spanning 144 dunams, is exclusively an Islamic Mosque for Muslims, and that imposing new rituals there doesn’t alter its identity. He said such attempts are a prelude to imposing a division of the mosque by time and space.
According to figures from the Jerusalem Governorate, more than 40,661 settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque from the beginning of this year through the end of August, while approximately 800 orders have been issued to bar Jerusalemites from the mosque since the beginning of the year through early September.
