Brussels, October 06 (QNA) – European stock indexes rose at the start of trading on Tuesday, supported by Wall Street’s performance, after the Nasdaq Composite closed at a new record high on Monday, backed by shares of technology giants, despite the sharp rise in interest rates.
In the major European markets, France’s CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose 0.23 percent, while Germany’s DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange climbed 0.45 percent.
In London, the UK’s FTSE 100 index rose 0.57 percent, while Italy’s MIB index on the Milan Stock Exchange recorded a 0.64 percent increase, while Madrid’s stock exchange index climbed 0.67 percent. (QNA)
