Amman, Oct. 11 (Petra) — Education and Human Resources Development
Minister Azmi Mahafzah discussed ways to develop cooperation with
Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan Andreas Lovold on Sunday, particularly
in education.
Mahafzah reviewed the ministry’s development plans and programs aimed
at improving the education process.
He outlined the state of education, noting the creation of the new
Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development under the
Economic Modernization Vision and the public sector development
roadmap.
The ministry is meant to serve as a single umbrella integrating
education from kindergarten and general education through higher
education, Mahafzah added.
Lovold, for his part, highlighted the close partnership between the
two countries. He said the Norwegian government is ready to support
the ministry’s development programs.
