Extend Manager Arteta’s Contract until 2030
London,
7 Oct 2026 (ONA) — English club Arsenal announced today that it has extended
the contract of its manager, Mikel Arteta, until June 2030. The Spaniard coach has
led the club last season to clinch the English Premier League (EPL) title for
the first time in 22 years.
Since
taking charge of the team in 2019, Arteta has led Arsenal and restored it to
the ranks of the European elite, having ended the club’s six-year absence from
the UEFA Champions League, and also guiding it to win the FA Cup in his first
season at the helm of the technical staff.
The
Spanish coach affirmed in a statement that continuing his journey with Arsenal
represents “a great honour,” commending the work alongside
exceptional talents who share the same ambition to achieve the best for the
club.
He
added that Arsenal is a club unique of its kind in terms of its identity and the
emotions that envelop all those affiliated with it, expressing his pride at the
continuation of this shared journey.
