Second Edition of Oman
Chanting Festival To Kick Off in Nizwa on 18 October 2026

Muscat, 12 October 2026 (ONA) — The
second edition of Oman Chanting Festival will be held in the Wilayat of Nizwa, A’Dakhiliyah
Governorate, from 18 to 21 October 2026.

The festival’s opening ceremony will
be held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili,
Chairman of the State Council.

Earlier, the Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Youth had announced the 8 vocalists who qualified for the second
edition of Oman Chanting Festival (from among 39 initial participants), following
a strict selection process.

The first edition of Oman Chanting
Festival was held more than 10 years ago, in Wilayat of Nizwa, from 20 to 21 October
20 to 21, 2015. The festival seeks to foster Omani talent in the field of
chanting and provide an artistic podium for performers to showcase their
abilities to the public.

This year (2026), the second edition of Oman Chanting Festival gains insights from the first edition. It presses ahead
with steps to furnish an artistic landscape that significant evolution in
performance styles, production techniques and audience engagement.
