Agreement
Signed to Empower Omani Women Through “Tamkeen” Beekeeping Program

Muscat,
26 Oct 2026 (ONA) — Dar Al Atta’a Association signed a partnership agreement
with National Finance to support the second edition of training courses in
beekeeping and honey production, within the association’s “Tamkeen”
program.

The
agreement was signed on behalf of Dar Al Atta’a Association by Maryam Issa Al
Zadjali, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Founder of the Association,
and on behalf of National Finance by Sam Abdullah Al Habsi, Head of Operations.

Forty-five
Omani women from low-income families will benefit from this initiative by
having the opportunity to acquire practical skills and field experience in
beekeeping and honey production, alongside manufacturing natural cosmetic
products using the honey produced.

The
program aims to develop participants’ skills in beekeeping and honey production
and open new horizons for them toward self-employment and establishing small
entrepreneurial projects. By equipping them with specialized knowledge and
practical training, the initiative seeks to enable participants to convert
acquired skills into viable economic opportunities, thereby enhancing their
financial independence and contributing to supporting local community-led
productive projects.

Tariq
Sulaiman Al Farsi, Chief Executive Officer of National Finance, explained that
empowering women from low-income families is not limited to creating valuable
opportunities for them, but extends to enhancing their capabilities and
building their self-confidence, helping them secure a safer and more stable
future for themselves and their families.

He
emphasized that through renewing the partnership with Dar Al Atta’a
Association, the company continues to build on what was achieved in the first
edition of the “Tamkeen” program and expand the scope of
opportunities available to more Omani women. He stated that the company’s
commitment remains firm toward supporting initiatives that make a sustainable
impact and converting empowerment into broad spaces of renewed opportunities,
thereby contributing to enabling everyone, whether individuals or families, to
rely on themselves to move forward with confidence toward building a more
stable and secure life.

This
initiative falls under the umbrella of “Imtidad,” the corporate
social responsibility arm of National Finance, reflecting the company’s ongoing
efforts to meet community needs through targeted social investments.

The
established partnership between National Finance and Dar Al Atta’a Association
reflects the company’s commitment to the principles of responsible corporate
citizenship and its belief in the pivotal role of the private sector in
supporting social and economic development in the Sultanate of Oman.

Through
this cooperation, the company continues to present a practical model for
translating corporate responsibility into tangible impact and sustainable
growth, thereby enhancing the private sector’s contribution to the
comprehensive development process in the Sultanate of Oman.
