In a statement to the press following his talks with Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, the Cabo Verdean minister said the meeting had focused on ways of developing “very concrete and pragmatic” cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of fishing, aquaculture, irrigation and the adaptation of agricultural systems.

Silva, who is attending the 33rd session of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Conference, also pointed out that a visit by Moroccan experts to Cabo Verde is scheduled shortly, followed by the signing of a protocol aimed at further strengthening the partnership between the two countries, with a view to consolidating ties and fostering an exchange of knowledge and best practices.

Cabo Verde's Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Correia Carvalho Silva, expressed on Friday in Rabat his determination to cooperate concretely and pragmatically with the Kingdom of Morocco in the field of agriculture.
