OECD: Morocco Has Taken Important Steps Towards Building Social State (Minister)

“Under the impetus of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has taken important steps towards building a social state, notably through the implementation of the royal project to generalize social protection, the deployment of direct aid to households and the housing aid program”, noted Fettah during a session at the OECD’s Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM), which kicked off earlier in the day.

At this session, held under the theme “Building a sustainable and inclusive economy and society – evidence-based public action to meet common challenges”, the Minister recalled the major advances made by Morocco in promising sectors such as green energy, automotive and aeronautics, and the Kingdom’s integration into international value chains.

Fettah also drew attention to the importance of implementing appropriate, targeted public policies for a more inclusive economy, while emphasizing the dimension of regional integration, particularly in Africa.

On the sidelines of the two-day event, Fettah held bilateral meetings with several ministers and representatives of international and regional organizations.

Morocco, under the impetus of HM King Mohammed VI, has taken important steps towards building a social state, said, on Thursday in Paris, Minister of the Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah.
