Saudi Arabia’s Voluntary Carbon Market Fuels the Shift to a Low-Carbon
Cairo, Oct. 12 (Petra) – Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the largest Islamic
religious academic institution, decried the attack targeting King
Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in civilian
casualties and injuries among travelers and Umrah pilgrims.
The institution stated that targeting civilian infrastructure and
worshippers traveling to the Holy Mosques provokes the sentiments of
Muslims worldwide. It described the strike as an unacceptable
violation of all human values and international norms, as well as a
direct assault on Saudi Arabia’s security and territorial integrity.
Warning of dangerous escalation, Al-Azhar rejected repeated attacks
that endanger innocent lives and undermine Saudi stability.
The institution stressed that regional security requires an immediate
halt to these violations and respect for state sovereignty and
territorial sanctity.
