Amman, June 10 (Petra) — Amnesty International has accused Israel of
executing a state-led “ethnic cleansing” campaign targeting
Palestinian Bedouin and herding communities in the occupied West
Bank.
According to an AFP report, the human rights organization stated in a
publication on Wednesday that the core objective of this
state-sponsored campaign is to rapidly accelerate the annexation of
Palestinian territories.
“Israeli authorities are accelerating annexation through a
state-driven campaign of ethnic cleansing targeting Palestinian
Bedouin and herding communities,” the rights group detailed in its
report, focusing on rural communities in the West Bank, which Israel
has occupied since 1967.
