Cairo, August 07 (QNA) – The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi group on the Najran region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilians, as well as the attacks targeting sites and units belonging to the Yemeni government forces in the governorates of Ma’rib and Hadramawt, which left a number of dead and wounded.
In a statement issued Friday, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi said that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the rules of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Charter of the United Nations. He affirmed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen in confronting any aggression targeting their security, territorial integrity, or the safety of their citizens.
He also affirmed the Arab Parliament’s support for all efforts aimed at preserving the security, stability, and territorial integrity of Yemen, noting that these attacks represent a dangerous escalation that undermines regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions and achieve security and stability in the region, exacerbates the humanitarian suffering, and threatens the chances of reaching a comprehensive political settlement to the Yemeni crisis.
