Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) on
Monday evacuated the 33rd batch of sick children from the Gaza Strip
under the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative, following royal
directives.
The new group includes 51 sick children accompanied by 53 family
members, who were transported to the Kingdom to receive medical
treatment across several Jordanian hospitals as part of ongoing
humanitarian and medical assistance provided to Palestinians in Gaza.
Launched in March 2025, the medical evacuations are conducted through
coordination between the JAF, the Ministry of Health, and the World
Health Organization (WHO), adhering to approved medical standards to
ensure proper care for young patients.
The initiative reflects Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian role in
supporting Palestinians and alleviating suffering in Gaza,
particularly among vulnerable groups needing specialized healthcare.
Under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan
continues to reaffirm its commitment to sustaining humanitarian and
medical relief efforts for sick and injured Palestinians in the
enclave.
