Saudi Arabia’s Voluntary Carbon Market Fuels the Shift to a Low-Carbon
Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj.
Gen. Majdi Al Harasis on Monday visited a border guard unit in the
Eastern Military Region, where he was received by the region’s
commander.
In the presence of senior Armed Forces officers, Maj. Gen. Al-Harasis
was briefed on the unit’s operational, training, and security plans,
as well as its readiness to handle various challenges and maintain
border security.
During the visit, Al-Harasis inspected several facilities and
positions along the border front, reviewing the operational
procedures and technical equipment utilized to secure the Kingdom’s
frontiers.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff underscored the pivotal role played by border guard units amid
regional security challenges, emphasizing the continued deployment of
advanced capabilities to counter infiltration and smuggling attempts
and protect national security.
