Around 200 people arrested during pro-Palestinian protests at American universities

NNA – About 200 pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested at three American universities during an evacuation operation carried out by riot police, in the latest episode of a student movement expanding across the United States, according to Agence France-Presse.

The movement was launched ten days ago at Columbia University in New York, and this new wave in support of the Palestinians and in opposition to the war launched by Israel in the Gaza Strip extended to include a number of educational institutions, from California (west) to New England (northeast), passing through the south and center of the country.

About 100 pro-Palestinian demonstrators were briefly stopped by riot police at Northeastern University in Boston.

The university announced on the ldquo;Xrdquo; platform that ldquo;about a hundred people were arrested by the police,rdquo; adding that ldquo;the students who showed their Northeastern University cards were released while those whonbsp;refused were detained.quot;
