Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) – The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed higher
on Monday, driven by modest gains across all major market sectors.
The general share price index rose 0.26 percent to close at 4,204
points. Sector performance was led by services, which gained 0.41
percent, followed by the financial sector at 0.22 percent, and
industrial stocks at 0.15 percent.
Total trading volume stood at JD20.8 million, with 8.5 million shares
exchanged across 5,177 transactions. Out of 113 companies traded
during the session, 46 made gains and 40 declined.
