Amman, June 17 (Petra) — A brief rise in temperatures will keep
conditions relatively hot across much of the country on Wednesday
before a gradual cooling trend restores more typical summer weather
through the remainder of the week, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department.

Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to remain slightly above
seasonal averages, bringing relatively hot conditions to most
regions, while hot weather will persist in the Badia, the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Moderate northwesterly winds are expected throughout the day,
becoming active at times, particularly in desert areas.

A slight decline in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, with mild
summer conditions returning to most regions. Despite the change, hot
weather is expected to continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea
and Aqaba, while moderate northwesterly winds remain active at
intervals.

Little change is expected on Friday, when seasonally mild conditions
will continue across most areas. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and
Aqaba are forecast to remain hot, while moderate northwesterly winds
prevail.

By Saturday, the weather pattern is expected to remain stable. Mild
conditions will continue in the highlands and plains, while
relatively hot weather is forecast in the Badia and hot conditions
are expected to persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to reach 34 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 32 degrees in West Amman. Highs are expected to range
between 28 C in the northern highlands and 29 C in the Sharah
highlands, while the Badia is forecast to reach 37 C.

The warmest conditions will be concentrated in low-lying regions,
with temperatures expected to reach 39 C in Aqaba and the southern
Jordan Valley, 38 C at the Dead Sea and 37 C in the northern Jordan
Valley.
